🎨 My Artistic Style & Teaching Philosophy:
Paint and Practice is an online learning space rooted in realistic oil painting, grounded in classical technique and shaped by personal, expressive interpretation. Rather than aiming for photographic imitation, the focus is on understanding light, shadow, form, and color in a way that allows each painting to reflect both observation and artistic intent.
Courses combine video demonstrations, written lessons, and supporting materials that guide artists through essential skills—tools and materials, brushwork, color mixing, and composition—while also developing the artist’s eye. The emphasis is not only on learning how to paint what you see, but on learning how to truly see like an artist.
Learning is intentionally self-paced, with no deadlines or pressure to move quickly. Students are encouraged to revisit lessons, practice concepts over time, and allow their understanding to deepen naturally as their skills develop.
Content may be refined or expanded over time to improve clarity and depth, and courses can be accessed from most modern devices.
